Writing options

This page shows all of the different settings for writing to a characteristic. On the characteristic page, you can see a list of all the messages that have been received.

Writing options

Write without response

By default when you write to a BLE characteristic, it will send a response that the message has been received. This is also called a Write Request.

If you check the options write without response, there will be no response to your messages. This is refered to as a Write Command.

Enable notifications

If you check this setting you will receive device notifications (push notifications) every time you write to this characteristic. This option can be changed while advertising the device.

Data Type

Change the way, the message will be interpreted and displayed in the list. See Data Types for more information. Changing the data type will also change how the messages are displayed in the list.
