Options for notifications

This page shows all of the different settings for BLE notifications. If you enable notifications and you also enable reading, every time you change the reading value, this value will be notified.

If a device is subscribed to this characteristic, it will be displayed in a list on this page.

Use indications

Notifications operate in a fire and forget manner. They basically don’t care if the subscribed device will receive this value or not. Indications on the other hand, require the connected device to send an acknoledgement that the message has been received.

Notification on newly subscribed device

Every time a new device subscribes to this characteristic, you will receive a push notification.

Simulator

You can add a data simulator to the characteristic, to simulate real world values. If you have a simulator connected to the characteristic, the value will be changed and notified in a specific interval, as soon as you enable your device.
